The Brass Quintet FiveBrass consists of students from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana: trumpeters Amadej Štrajhar and Lovro Tavčar, horn player David Tretjak, trombonist Blaž Kozjek, and tubist Gašper Poprijan. Under the artistic guidance of Professor Jure Gradišnik, they have been brought together by their shared passion for chamber music and their mission to promote brass instruments both in Slovenia and abroad.
In September 2024, FiveBrass performed a series of five concerts as part of the Autumn Serenades of the Ljubljana Musical Youth. At the national TEMSIG competition 2025, they won first prize and a gold plaque, as well as a special award for their interpretation of Anders Hillborg’s Quintet. In the 2025/26 season, they will appear in prestigious concert series, including the Ljubljana Festival’s “Young Virtuosi” series, concerts of the Musical Youth of Slovenia, and the International Imago Sloveniae Festival.
