Zala Eva Kocjančič graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree under Professor Vasily Melnykov and furthering her education at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona.
Among her greatest achievements are first prizes at international competitions such as EMCY Ohrid Pearls, Young Virtuosi in Zagreb, and Alexandre Glazounov in Paris, the EMCY Prize, and second prizes at TEMSIG in the solo violin and chamber music categories. For her performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra in the 2022/23 season, she received the Prešeren Award of the University of Ljubljana for artistic achievements.
As a soloist, she has performed with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Amadeo Orchestra, and Pro-Arte Orchestra in Vienna, and appeared at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Ljubljana Festival and the Ljubljana Musical Youth series.
